Happy New Year

Yet another first for our family in our new environment. Christmas has been rather difficult without the usual familiar faces. Our container finally arrived yesterday so we’ve been spending most of today unpacking boxes & sorting our home. Live will get easier now that we’re surrounded with some familiar items.

 

 

 

As for celebrations, we’re way too tired to go out & do something so for now will be heading off to bed & ring in the New Year in our dreams instead.

In the meantime, we’d like to wish all our followers the very best for the New Year.

Merry Christmas

This is our first Christmas in New Zealand. It’s been hard without our relatives close over the last few days. Not having our stuff from SA yet also seems to cause some frustrations. Thanks to Kiwi generosity we were able to put up a Christmas tree to help us through the season.

Somehow I think the holidays will be the toughest to adjust to over the next few years.

As a family we’ll have to make our own new traditions to get through the transition.

WoW, another year has passed us by, with tomorrow being the last of our school holiday since the boys will have had 8 weeks of school holiday since August. Of course with Jesse having started Alpha Omega Academy on the 1st August, his first semester only finishes at the end of January and the end of our school year shifts across to the end of July.

It still amazes me how fast time flies by these days. This has been a hectic year with regards to field trips, think we may just slow down on those a little bit. Thus far I’ve only finished the holiday planning for next year and still need to do school and field trip planning.

The boys are sleeping out & I’m ending off 2012 with one last blog post wishing all our family and friends a wonderfully blessed 2013.

After 3 weeks away, our big brat finally got home this weekend. It’s just awesome having my whole brood back together for the holidays. Home is just not the same with missing children.

I can hardly believe another year has passed and this week we had a busy week getting ready for Christmas and here it is…

What a week! We took a short break to spend time with my mother who was visiting my sister after the birth of her baby girl 3 weeks ago.

Of course the boys didn’t complain that this week included another public holiday & thus we also had Monday off.
